5D4N in Taiwan under RM2000!!

  

We travelled to Taiwan in mid-April, late spring. For this trip, there were four us and I did my research and planning for about 6 months. I was aware that 5 days will not be enough, hence I try my best to maximise the days as much as I can.Yet, travelling with my two aunties and grandma, I had to make some adjustment and loosen my planning to accommodate everyone. Wanting to eat all the recommended food as well as going to all the beautiful places, I guess it's all about give and take. Overall, I guess I can say my effort really pays off as we all had fun!!

Day 1: Taipei

Overall Experience
I really enjoy Taiwan! The weather is fantastic and the people are friendly. I enjoyed most travelling and taking photos of their countryside: woods, forests, fields, lakes and mountains. Food wise, I still prefer Malaysian food with a stronger flavour. If you are a Malaysian, you may find Taiwan food a bit ''tasteless'' in a healthier sense, but still nice. Their milk teas are also less sweet which is a good thing for those who are more health conscious.

Medan Selera Seksyen 17

Jalan 17/21, Seksyen 17, Petaling Jaya Mon - Sun: 05.00pm - 11.30pm  We came here to try the tongsui (dessert). Apparently, it is like a food court where there are other hawker stalls selling other food too. 1. Hong Kee Dessert  洪记糖水 ⭐⭐⭐⭐         When we arrived here at around 8.30p.m., we were shocked to see the long queue. I guess all coming to have dessert after dinner. Nevertheless, the queue goes by quickly. 2. Chee Cheong Fun ⭐⭐⭐         We wanted to try the curry chee cheong fun as recommended, but sadly they were sold out. Heard the curry mee was great too! 3. Yau Zha Guai (You Tiao )  油炸粿 ⭐⭐⭐⭐     We bought the plain yau zha guai, as well as with the sesame seed, the round red bean paste and the kaya paste to try. 3D3N in Penang with only RM400!!

Being Malaysians, how can we not explore Penang?!! 5 of us decided to take this long weekend to explore Penang's good food and historical places. So many great places in only two days, we researched beforehand and plan our trip wisely. We took the KTM ETS to Penang and used Grab mostly throughout the journey. Cheap and convenient!
