Taiwan - Day 4: Qingjing + Sun Moon Lake + Fengjia Night Market (Taoyuan)

We woke up at 4am early in the morning. At 6 am, we arrived Taipei Main Station to exchange our Klook THSR train tickets. Be there early as queue has started and remember to bring your passport along! We took the first THSR train (6.30am) and left from Taipei to Taichung. It was about an-hour ride journey. We reached about 7.45am and our driver drove us to Qingjing Farm.

1. The Old England Hotel（老英格兰庄园）🌟🌟🌟

This place is pretty! The hotel was built and inspired by a Taiwan owner who loves the England architecture. It is a hotel where only guests are allowed to enter. You can enjoy high-teas here with the magnificent view up from a mountain. Apparently, the owner resides beside the hotel, so we were allowed to take photos from the outside.

  

2. Green Green Grasslands（清境農場）🌟🌟🌟

Apparently, there were a few entrances. We decided to start from the top and walked down so the driver dropped us at the highest entrance of the grasslands. As we went on a weekday, there weren't any queue. The view was great, but there were only 2 or 3 sheep grazing around and obviously all of us wanted a picture with them (including other tourists). Though on the way down the mountain, I did noticed that more sheep were being released and I missed it *ngaww.

  
  

As we walked down, we went to see the horse riding show. Along the way, we manged to take many photos of the mountain view, not to forget some cherry blossoms too! Do bear in mind that it was quite a long walk, my grandma didn't particularly enjoy it especially under the hot sun! 😓 

It is a must to watch the horse riding show, the riders were fantastic, so the long walk was totally worth it! 

  

We had lunch here. Overall, it was delicious! 

We were taught to mix our rice with some sesame oil etc, and they were the best!

3. Sun Moon Lake（日月潭）🌟

The place was alright. When we were there, the weather was a little gloomy with little clouds here and there. Basically we just rode the shuttle boat from one station to the other. There were 3 stations in total. 

    

We tried the egg, and it taste like the usual herbal egg back in Malaysia. They are also famous for their red tea, so we decided to try their ice-cream which were so DELICIOUS and REFRESHING! 👍👍

3. Fengjia Night Market（逢甲夜市）🌟🌟

Surprisingly, we didn't enjoy much here as what everyone rave about it. I personally find it a bit crowded with people and cars. There were a variety of shops here which finally I got to tried some bubble tea to compare with the ones in Malaysia. I realised their bubble teas were generally less sweeter compared to Malaysia's, hence I leave it up to your preference as I prefer sweeter with the brown sugar (Gula Melaka).
